The Newton Bicycle/Pedestrian Task Force is an independent citizen activist group that works with the city and local organizations to secure safe, practical and convenient bicycle and pedestrian access in Newton, MA.
Join us for the annual Newton Bike Update this coming Monday evening, September 15th, beginning at 6:30pm in the War Memorial auditorium adjacent to City Hall. Topics will examine progress toward improving all aspects of riding in Newton, including:
- engineering of accommodations
- education of cyclists and drivers
- evaluation of project effectiveness
Presenters will include the City's Transportation Director, Traffic Sergeant, and the Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinators. Please bring your questions and suggestions!
We invite you to get involved and attend our monthly meetings on the fourth Tuesday of the month (usually) from 7:45pm-10pm in the cafeteria on the lower level of Newton City Hall. Our next meeting will be on September 23 at 7:45pm. Meeting agendas are posted a few days before each meeting. The Bike Friday commuter rides to Boston have ended until next spring.
